Off-Duty Postal Workers Prepare To Walk Picket Line

MOINES, Iowa -- More than 100 Des Moines postal workers
are preparing to walk an informational picket line on Thursday
afternoon.
Members of the American Postal Workers Union said a
federal plan would consolidate more than 130 postal
distribution centers.
That means work from Carroll might be shifted into Des
Moines.
More than 100 off-duty postal workers will picket
outside Des Moines' main post office from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
Thursday.
