More than 100 postal workers are expected to take part in picekting today, to protest a proposal to consolidate the Fort. Myers’ Processing and Distribution Center.

The workers claim that consolidation would mean slower, less reliable mail service for the Fort Myers area and the loss of the Fort Myers postmark.

The protest is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the Downtown Post Office, 1350 Monroe St.
