New member Sabrina Thomas (with Chicago Local Industrial Relations Director Keith Richardson): “I realize the importance ... there is an attack on our jobs, so that is why I am geared up to join.”

Sushma R. Sheth: “I talked to my husband about joining the APWU and he said, ‘This is America, a union country, and it’s the right thing to do.’”

Jessica Winston: “The results are in with this new contract. I believe and have always seen the benefits of what our union can do and we should all play a part – so we should all pay a part.”

Yvonne Burrell: “I just didn’t know that I was paying to the wrong and I’m glad to now be in the one I belong.”

Motor Vehicle Operator and APWU activist Jerome L. Johnson signed up twin brothers Frank and Joe Stoklasa: “We twin brothers know that it takes more than just one of us to make a difference,” they said.
