Central KY Area Local President Richard Tobin Dies

Richard Tobin, president of the APWU Central Kentucky Area Local, died suddenly June 21 in Cleveland, where he was attending the union's 2006 Basic Arbitration Training Conference.

Kentucky APWU President Gary Fox said that Mr. Tobin collapsed in front of a hotel, and that he had had a history of heart problems.

A former Kentucky APWU officer, Mr. Tobin also was one of the APWU representatives to the Kentuckiana District Advisory Committee of the Employee Assistance Program.

Mr. Tobin is survived by his wife, Lesley.
