This is in response to your letter dated July 3, requesting a moratorium on "all grievance time limits at the local, regional, and national level" for the period of Wednesday, September 27, 2023, to Friday, October 6,2023, due to the American Postal Workers Union's holding multiple events to include the Craft Conferences and joint training on the Joint Contract Interpretation Manual (JCIM).
The Postal Service agrees with your request as follows:
For all grievances, disciplinary actions, and arbitration hearings at the National, Regional and Local levels, that would occur between September 27 and October 6, time limits will be extended for fifteen (15) days beyond those specified in the National Agreement.
No arbitrations will be scheduled between September 27 and October 6.
