This Step 4 Settlement Agreement addresses whether or not management violates Article 19 of the National Agreement as it relates to prompt reporting of accidents and/or injuries in a local office. After a thorough discussion of all the issues involved in this grievance, the parties mutually agreed that an employee may be required to report an accident to his immediate supervisor on the day it occurs; however, completion of the appropriate forms will be in accordance with applicable rules and regulations and may not be on the day of the accident. They further agreed that any corrective action that may be initiated for failure to properly report an accident would have to stand the test of just cause on a case-by-case basis.
