The issue in this grievance concerns the denial of a bid job to a senior employee who was not qualified on the appropriate examination for a Markup Clerk position. During our discussion, we mutually agreed that the question raised can be resolved by applying the following: Full-time Mail Processors will be listed on a merged seniority list with all other full-time PS-4 clerks and are eligible to bid on any posted PS-4 Clerk position. To be a successful bidder, however, they must meet the qualifications for the position, i.e., they must be currently qualified on the appropriate examination(s).
