The question raised in this grievance involved the craft designation of incumbents of console operator positions. After further review of this matter, we mutually agreed that no national interpretive issue is fairly presented in the particulars evidenced in this case. The console operator assignment is a noncraft assignment. Incumbents of these assignments remain in the craft which they are a member at the time they are selected to fill a console operator assignment. Accordingly, as we further agreed, this case is hereby remanded to the parties at Step 3 for further processing, if necessary.
