This grievance involves entitlement to out-of-schedule pay for time spent in a temporary schedule change for training purposes. During our discussion, we agreed that the settlement reached in grievance no. H8C-5FC 9602, dated December 14, 1981, is applicable to this case. That settlement provided, in pertinent part, the following: 1. While there is no contractual obligation to pay out-of-schedule premium to employees in a training situation, the parties recognize the need for the employees to be informed as far in advance as possible when a schedule change for training purposes is needed. 2. Therefore, when it is possible, the employees should be notified of the schedule change by Wednesday of the preceding week.
