The question in this grievance is whether or not management violates Article 8 of the National Agreement as it relates to work hours. In this instance, the union contends that an employee is not being paid for work performed in excess of eight (8) hours, even though directed to do so by a supervisor. According to the file, on April 19, 1982, April 21, 1982, and April 22, 1982, the employee was directed to count monies for the night bank deposit. Performance of the work caused the employee to exceed eight (8) hours by several minutes on each of the referenced days. We mutually agreed that under the circumstances discussed above, this grievant will be compensated for time in excess of eight (8) hours on the days in question.
