Return to Contract DatabaseThe question in this grievance is whether management improperly charged letter carriers to replace their lost badges. During our discussion, it was mutually agreed that the following would represent a full settlement of this case:
In accordance with ASM 273.272, management is proper in charging an employee for a lost badge. Management shall, however, inform an employee of a money demand under Article 28 of the National Agreement, and the demand must include the reasons therefor.
