According to the file, on January 26, 1983, the grievant, a shop steward, was notified by his supervisor that 30 minutes mandatory overtime was required that day. His end tour was 0900 a.m. and he had previously arranged a Step 2 meetinging in the Employee and Labor Relations office from 0830 a.m. to 0900 a.m. The meeting lasted until 0956 a.m. The grievant feels he should be paid overtime from 0900 a.m. to 0930 a.m., the period mandatory overtime was scheduled. It is the position of the Postal Service that there is no requirement to pay the grievant overtime under these circumstances.
