Connecticut Tragedy

The APWU joins the nation in mourning the senseless loss of life in Newtown CT on Dec. 14. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those touched by this tragedy,” said President Cliff Guffey.

Two APWU members have family members with a connection to Sandy Hook Elementary School, the site of the rampage that left 20 first graders and 6 teachers and school administrators dead. An APWU member’s child is a student at the school and an APWU member’s wife is a teacher; they were not injured in the shooting.
