On Wednesday Jan. 21, dozens braved the snow to protest the fifth anniversary of Citizens United v Federal Election Commission, a Supreme Court ruling that opened the floodgates to allow a tidal wave of corporate money to influence politics. The ruling declared   that "corporations are people." Shouts of "This is what democracy looks like!" filled Lafayette Square in Washington, DC, just outside the Chamber of Commerce, as  citizens  voiced their disgust with Wall Street's crippling influence on lawmakers.
