Step 4 Settlement Agreement: Article 37.3.F.4; Posting, Bidding, and Application (1985)

This Step 4 Settlement Agreement addresses whether management is required to allow all bidders in contention for an MPLSM assignment the opportunity to demonstrate the required skills. During the discussion, the parties mutually agreed that if the senior bidder defaults or withdraws from a duty assignment requiring machine qualifications, the deferment period ends. The senior bidder then qualified shall be permanently assigned in accordance with Article 37.3.F(4) of the National Agreement.
