Step 4 Settlement Agreement: Article 37.3.F.5; Posting, Bidding, and Application (1986)

This Step 4 Settlement Agreement involved whether management violated the National Agreement by denying the grievant the Accounting Clerk position and whether the SF-46 requirement is a bona fide occupational qualification for the job. After reviewing this matter, the parties mutually agreed that no national interpretive issue is fairly presented in this case, and that this was a local dispute suitable for regional determination based upon the particular circumstances. Accordingly, they agreed to remand this case to the parties at Step 3 for further processing, including arbitration if necessary.
