Step 4 Settlement Agreement: Article 38; Maintenance Craft (1985)

This Step 4 Settlement Agreement involved whether management violated the National Agreement by hiring new employees from an outside MPE Hiring Register. After further review of this matter, the parties agreed that there was no national interpretive issue fairly presented as to the meaning and intent of Article 38 of the National Agreement. The parties at this level agreed that management must comply with Articles 38 and 33 before management may utilize an outside MPE hiring register.
