Step 4 Settlement Agreement: Article 38; Maintenance Craft (1986)

This Step 4 Settlement Agreement addresses whether management properly posted Notice 85-257 to fill maintenance craft positions. After reviewing this matter, the parties mutually agreed that whether or not the principal assignment area was too broad in its definition is a local dispute suitable for regional determination. The parties at this level agreed that there are no “pool” assignments in the maintenance craft and there are provisions for relief assignments under Article 38.7.E of the National Agreement.
