USPS Position Letter: Article 37.4.B.2; Posting, Bidding, and Application (1980)

This USPS Step 4 Decision outlines Management’s position on whether local management is conducting the SIAT test of Parcel and Sack Sorting Machine Operators properly.  The methods Handbook, H-49, Sorter Induction Accuracy Test, outlines the procedures for testing, and Part 230(d) states, “all active keyers to be tested will be tested at least once each accounting period.”  Part. 230 specifies the conditions in which an exception to the testing may be made, and the Sorter Induction Accuracy Test will be conducted accordingly.
