Voting Plan

General Election Day: Vote 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7

Registration Deadlines:

  • Online and Mail: Received by Monday, October 16
  • In-Person: Same-day registration is offered during early voting and on election day

Absentee Ballots

  • Deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5 p.m. on Friday, October 27 (received)
  • Deadline to receive a completed absentee ballot is 12 p.m. on Friday, November 10, as long as it is postmarked by Tuesday, November 7

Voting ID

  • You must provide identification to vote or sign an ID Confirmation Statement at the polls. Acceptable forms of ID include, but are not limited to:
  • VA driver’s license (current or expired), DMV-issued ID card (current or expired), U.S. military ID, valid student ID, employee ID card with photograph, or passport

Early Voting

Early voting begins on Friday, September 22 at your local registrar’s office and on Saturday, October 28 at voter registration offices. This ends on Saturday, November 4 at 5 p.m. at your local voter registration office
