Contract Enforcement

The Industrial Relations Department is responsible for enforcement of the Collective Bargaining Agreement at the national level.

When disputes arise over a Postal Service policy, program or interpretation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement we make sure that the issue is assigned to the appropriate national officer. That officer then reviews the issue, meets and discuss it with the Postal Service and, together with the Industrial Relations Director, determines whether or not APWU should file a national dispute (grievance).

Any issues regarding contract enforcement at the local or state level must be initiated at that level by your local or state officers/stewards.
