Arbitrator Das rejected the Union’s argument that issuance of discipline by Attendance Control Supervisors violated the CBA. However, the Arbitrator noted that the issuance of a suspension or discharge still must not only be reviewed and concurred in by the appropriate authority, but it also must be consistent with Article 16.1 and any other applicable contract provision and may not impair the Article 15.2 authority of the immediate supervisor to resolve grievances.
