National Pre-Arbitration Agreement: Article 8; Hours of Work (1981)

The National Agreement provides in Article VIII, Section 5.A., that, “employees desiring to work overtime during the quarter shall place their names on the Overtime Desired list.” Under the provisions of Article XXX, Local Implementation, management and the Union at the North Jersey Facility agreed in the local Memorandum of Understanding to: – Establish Overtime Desired lists by seniority on each tour in every work area; – Establish two Overtime Desired lists by seniority; one for daily overtime and one for lay-off days and allow for employees to place their names on either or both lists.
