The question in this grievance is whether the Postal Service violated Article 8 when they did not pay the grievants out-of-schedule premium for working outside of their regular schedule as acting supervisors (204-B). It was mutually agreed to full settlement of this case as follows: 1. Employees who are acting supervisors (204-B), are not entitled to out-of schedule premium when they attend a planned, prepared and coordinated training session. 2. Acting supervisors (204-B) are entitled to out-of-schedule premium when they are detailed to a higher level position, work other than their bid assigned hours and are not involved in a planned, prepared and coordinated training session. 3. This case is remanded to the regional office to determine if the Safety Seminar was a planned, prepared and coordinated training session. If not, the grievants will be paid the applicable overtime rate for the hours in question.
