The issue raised in this case involved whether the grievants are entitled to environmental differentials set forth in Federal Personnel Manual, Supplement 532.1, Appendix J, that are paid to employees who are exposed to various hazards. The grievants contend that they were exposed to several environmental contaminants while working at the Biscayne Annex in Miami. During our discussions, we agreed that postal employees are not covered by the aforementioned provisions. We also agreed to consider the matter closed.
