The five-year agreement, effective May 18, 2025, through May 17, 2030, includes annual wage increases; full, protected cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) for career employees; continued job security protections against layoffs; and additional work-rule changes, among other union-won gains outlined in the term sheet.
“I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Rank-and-File Committee Members: Twin Cities PDC Local President Ryan Cady; Saint Louis Gateway District Area Local Support Services Craft Director Janis Dumas; San Mateo PDC Local President Terry Duckworth; and Wilkes Barre PDC Local President Chris Evans for your invaluable input, late nights of dedication, and unwavering support of this contract,” said Support Services Division Director Kim Maurer. “I also appreciate National Business Agent Orlando Anderson for all his assistance, hard work, and dedication throughout this process.”
“This achievement would not have been possible without the guidance and insights from APWU National President Jonathan Smith, Secretary-Treasurer Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Powell, and Industrial Relations Director Charlie Cash, along with Michael Macho and Lee Branca,” Maurer continued.
“This tentative agreement truly represents a collective effort. It is designed to benefit all members of the IT/AS. The economic negotiations did get heated at times. But we knew the benefits we sought were necessary to provide the appropriate wage increases and other benefits that are invaluable in meeting our members’ needs. I strongly encourage all members to review the terms of this tentative agreement carefully and participate in the ratification vote. Your voice matters—together, we can ensure that our combined strength shapes the future of the IT/AS. I encourage you to vote in favor of this tentative agreement,” Director Maurer concluded.
The full terms of the TA and ballots will be sent to IT/AS members for review and ratification vote within the next few weeks. As members begin to receive their ratification packets, the APWU Support Services Division will hold virtual town hall meetings where members can participate, hear details of the agreement, and ask questions.
If members covered by the agreement have any questions or comments about the summary terms or the TA, please email: supportservices@apwu.org.
