APWU members who plan to attend the All-Craft Conference and other union events in Las Vegas in early November are reminded to vote early or request absentee ballots if their states or municipalities are holding elections during that time.

“APWU members who won’t be able to make it to the polls should contact their local board of elections to request absentee ballots or find out if early voting is permitted,” said APWU Legislative and Political Director Gary Kloepfer.

“At a time when some states are making it harder to vote, APWU members can’t afford miss a chance to help elect governors, state legislators, mayors and other local officials who will support working families," he added. "Please check the rules and deadlines now.”

Several thousand APWU members are planning to participate in craft-related related workshops, vote on craft-related resolutions, and take part in “general sessions” Nov. 4-7.

In addition, many others plan to take part in other events the union is sponsoring in early November:

Secretary-Treasurer’s Training Conference (Nov. 1-3)

Deaf/Hard of Hearing Conference (Nov. 2-3)

National Presidents Conference (Nov. 2-3)
BMC Conference (Nov. 3)

Retirees Conference (Nov. 4-6)
Installation of APWU Officers (Nov. 7)
