The APWU national officers’ election ballot count began Oct. 5. Secretary-Treasurer Terry Stapleton has announced that approximately 77,127 ballots have been received. Unofficial results will be posted on the union's Web site, www.apwu.org, as soon as they become available.

The Election Committee took ballots from the designated post office box at 2 p.m. on Oct. 5 and transported them to the Madison Hotel in Washington, DC. The ballots will be opened, scanned, and tallied by the American Arbitration Association, under the supervision of the Election Committee.

The unofficial tallies are expected to be available on Saturday, Oct. 6, and will be posted and updated frequently.
