This Open Season don’t forget your Union Health Plan because your Union Health Plan hasn’t forgotten you. With two distinct nationwide options, the APWU Health Plan has you covered from Honolulu, Hawaii to Portland, Maine. Both the High Option and Consumer Driven Option are PlanSmartChoice Plus award recipients so regardless of your choice you are getting a health plan of the highest quality.

The Consumer Driven Option (CDO)

The Consumer Driven Option is APWU Health Plan’s solution for inexpensive and comprehensive care. By making our members the primary decision-maker regarding the health care they receive we limit the amount of over usage that occurs and pass the savings on to the member.

  • Free tobacco cessation program
  • Free diabetes management
  • 100 percent coverage for the first $1,200 of your annual health care expenses for self coverage or $2,400 for self and family
  • No co-payments or up-front deductibles
  • Choice of doctors, no referrals
  • Low premium negotiated by the APWU

The High Option (HO)

The High Option is everything you want in a health plan with low co-pays and deductibles, a nationwide PPO network with CIGNA and a variety of benefits designed with the American Postal Workers Union in mind.
