Coming to a Walmart Near You: The Fight for Better Pay

The APWU has vowed to join Black Friday protests at Walmart stores around the country if the company refuses to give their workers full-time jobs with decent wages. “We’re urging union members to join in,” said APWU President Mark Dimondstein.

The Walton family, which owns Wal-Mart, controls a fortune equal to the wealth of the bottom 42 percent of Americans combined, but they are notorious for paying their employees low wages. Walmart workers are fighting for $15 per hour pay and the right to form a union.
