Dimondstein Talks to Ed Schultz
October 16, 2014
In an interview on The Ed Schultz Show on Oct. 16, APWU President Mark Dimondstein explained how USPS plans to lower "service standards" and close 82 mail processing plants would slow mail delivery throughout the country. The cuts would affect every postal patron, regardless of where they live, and would send the Postal Service into "a death spiral," he said.
Candidates for November's elections should be judged on their position on this issue and others of concern to workers, such as the fight for a $15 per hour minimum wage, Dimondstein said.
