Happy 50th Birthday, Medicare!

At 87 events in 37 states on July 30, unions, seniors, medical professionals and others held special celebrations in honor of Medicare’s 50^th birthday. 

“Today’s 50^th anniversary of Medicare is not just a moment, it is a movement. We need to protect, improve and expand Medicare,” said APWU Retirees Director Judy Beard at the rally in Washington, DC.

Numerous speakers emphasized that expanding Medicare is one way to win healthcare for all Americans.
