House Subcommittee to Vote on Issa Ross Bill

A House subcommittee will vote Sept. 21 on a bill that the APWU has denounced as “a reckless assault on postal services and postal employees.” The bill, H.R. 2309, is sponsored by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Rep. Dennis Ross (R-FL). Rep. Issa is chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform; Rep. Ross is chairman of the Subcommittee on Federal Workforce, U.S. Postal Service, and Labor Policy, which will vote on the bill on Wednesday.

The subcommittee will Webcast its deliberations, which will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 21.
