OSHA Fines USPS For Safety Violations in Binghamton, NY

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) fined the USPS $8,000 for serious safety hazards at a Binghamton, NY postal facility.

OSHA issued the citations after inspectors found that exit routes in the facility were blocked; there was sufficient work space for safe operation; and that employees working on live electrical equipment were not provided proper protective gear.

The most recent violations bring the Postal Service’s total OSHA fines to nearly $4.7 million.
