Tampa Area Retiree Chapter Members Meet with Congressman Charlie Crist

On August 9th, members of the Tampa Area Retiree Chapter were joined by Congressman Charlie Crist in St. Petersburg, FL as they celebrated the anniversaries of Medicare and Social Security. Members asked the Congressman questions regarding drug prices and the fight to save Medicare and Social Security.
Congressman Crist, the sponsor of the Save Social Security Act (H.R. 567) and cosponsor of the Medicare Negotiation and Competitive Licensing Act (H.R. 1046), discussed his work in the House with the group. Congressman Crist is a cosponsor of H. Res 33, the House’s anti-privatization resolution, as well as H.R. 2382, the USPS Fairness Act, that would repeal the 2006 prefunding mandate.
