Ballots for the APWU election of national officers will be counted beginning on Oct. 5, and preliminary results will be posted on the union's Web site, www.apwu.org, as soon as they become available, Secretary-Treasurer Terry Stapleton has announced. The unofficial tallies will be updated frequently.

The Election Committee will take ballots from the designated post office box at 2 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Oct. 5 and transport them to the Madison Hotel in Washington, DC. The ballots will be opened, scanned, and tallied by the American Arbitration Association, under the supervision of the Election Committee.
