Women Vote 2012
October 15, 2012
The outcome of this year’s election will have a decisive impact on the rights of all working people, and as union members, we can help ensure that every voice is heard. The AFL-CIO is sponsoring this year’s Women Vote 2012 campaign that will bring women together around the issues that matter most to them and connect their message to other women voters. At a time when women’s rights have been under attack, this campaign is more important than ever.
Please see the Women Vote 2012 Toolkit for more information about how to host a party or get more information about parties in your area.
The AFL-CIO and Working America have been hosting parties like this for the last five years, and they truly do make a difference. Women who hear how important it is to vote from other women actually vote at higher rates.
"I look forward to seeing our members and other strong activists taking advantage of this new and creative campaign," said APWU President Cliff Guffey. "Let’s make sure that women’s votes count in 2012." he said.
