Young Members Committee

The Secretary-Treasurer's office serves as a liaison to the APWU's Young Members Committee. The Committee is a forum for APWU members from each region, created to address and voice their unique problems and concerns in the workplace, union, and society.

Established by a mandate of the union’s 23rd National Convention, which was enthusiastically approved by delegates, President Dimondstein appointed the first YMC in 2016, consisting of 5 members and 5 alternates from the Central, Eastern, Southern, Western and Northeast areas.

Since their creation in 2016, the YMC has held several national meetings and trainings specific to issues impacting workers between ages 18-35.
