The issue in this grievance is whether the use of “Kelly Girls” to perform the short term work during the acceptance test period of the Multiline Optical Character Reader (MLOCR) retro fit at the Suburban Maryland facility was a violation of the National Agreement.  During our discussion, we mutually agreed that the use of temporary employees (i.e., Kelly Girls) in the circumstances described in this case shall be considered as casuals pursuant to Article 7.2.B of the National Agreement.  Accordingly, we agreed to settle this case.
