Step 4 Settlement Agreement: Article 19; Handbooks and Manuals (1983)

The issue in this grievance is whether local management is proper in refusing to accept photocopies of medical releases. After further review of this matter, we agreed that there was no national interpretive issue fairly presented as to the meaning and intent of Articles 10 and 19 of the National Agreement. Whether a photocopy of medical documentation is acceptable is a determination to be made by a review of the fact circumstances of each case. As such, this case is suitable for regional determination. Accordingly, we agreed to remand this case to Step 3 for further consideration by the parties.
