The issue in this grievance is whether the wearing of a necktie around automated machinery violates Article 14. After reviewing this matter, we mutually agreed that no national interpretive issue is fairly presented in this case. This case is remanded for application of Article 14. Neckties worn around such equipment should be either the clip-on variety or tucked in. Accordingly, we agreed to remand this case to the parties at Step 3 for further processing including arbitration if necessary. This document contains two Article 14 related issues; a Step 4 Agreement on Page 1 and a Step 4 Agreement on Page 2.
