The issue in this grievance is whether the chairman is a part of the safety committee whose membership has equal representation between the unions and management. After reviewing this matter, we mutually agreed that no national interpretive issue is fairly presented in this case. However, the parties at this level agree that the language in Article 14, Section 4, is clear. There shall be equal representation on the committee between the unions and management. Accordingly, we agreed to settle this case. This document contains two Article 14 related issues; a Step 4 Agreement on Page 1, and a Step 4 Agreement on Page 2.
