The question in this grievance is whether management violated Article 15 of the National Agreement when Step 1 grievance settlements were not reduced to writing. During our discussion, we mutually agreed to resolve this case based upon our understanding that, contractually, management is not required to render Step 1 resolutions in writing. We further agreed that both parties are expected to honor all commitments made during the Step 1 discussion.
