New Northeast Region Maintenance NBA

The APWU Maintenance Division Council has unanimously approved the appointment by Director Steve Raymer of Christopher Howe as Maintenance Craft National Business Agent for the Northeast Region. The appointment will be effective Jan. 1, 2014.

“Chris will complete the term of office left vacant by the tragic and untimely passing of our friend and union brother, Rick Logan,” Raymer said.

Chris, 39, is serving his second term as the full-time president of the Manchester NH Area Local. Hired in 1992, he joined the Maintenance Craft in 2004. He presently holds an MPE Mechanic duty assignment after stints as a Custodian and Maintenance Mechanic. He is an APWU-certified arbitration advocate, having completed his advocate training in 2007, and has been assisting the Northeast Region with arbitrations since then.

“I am confident the well-rounded knowledge, experience and zeal that Chris brings to our Maintenance Council will serve the Northeast Region membership well in these trying times,” Raymer said.
