Stevenson, Pagaduan Appointed to NBA Vacancies

Two new national officers were appointed recently to fill vacant National Business Agent positions: James Stevenson was appointed Clerk Craft National Business Agent “C” for the Chicago Region, effective Oct. 13, and Rufina J. Pagaduan was appointed All-Craft National Business Agent for the Pacific Area, effective Nov. 15.
Stevenson fills the vacancy that was created when Lynn Pallas-Barber became Assistant Clerk Craft Director. He has been an active APWU member for 15 years, serving as Clerk Craft director of the Detroit District Area Local and Area II director for the Michigan Postal Workers Union. He also was a member of the Metro Detroit AFL-CIO Civil Rights Committee and, prior to transferring to the Clerk Craft, served as a steward for the National Association of Letter Carriers.
Stevenson was recommended by Clerk Craft Director Clint Burelson.
Rufina Pagaduan fills the vacancy that was created by the resignation of long-time Pacific Area National Business Agent Nilda Chock. She has been an active APWU member for 10 years, serving as president of the Honolulu (HI) Local for four years. During her tenure as local president she promoted unity among the postal unions, support the fight for six-day mail delivery and coordinating with the National Association of Letter Carriers and the National Postal Mail Handlers Union in rallies to save the Postal Service.
Pagaduan was recommended by President Mark Dimondstein.
