Convention Schedule
An overview of the convention can be found here. Please note that this schedule will be updated periodically.
Convention Credentials
APWU locals and state organizations are required to register delegates to the National Convention online through the link below.
Registration begins April 1.
Officers will be prompted to log-in to the Members Only section of the APWU web site and enter a password. Only authorized officers (the president and one of the following: secretary-treasurer, secretary, or treasurer) are permitted to register delegates.
35 and Under Convention Delegates
To assist locals in their efforts to include APWU young union activists at the 2026 national convention, the APWU will reimburse one-half of the cost of expenses (fully receipt) paid by the local/state union of at least one (1) union member per local/state, 35 years or younger, who have been elected or selected as a delegate. This includes one-half the cost of transportation, lodging and 50% of lost time for those locals that pay reimbursement of lost wages to those elected. A copy of the letter sent to local and state presidents can be found here.
To qualify for inclusion in this effort, locals/states must complete the 35 & Under Delegate Form, along with appropriate documentation, no later than Friday, July 3, 2026.
Please note all 35 and Under Convention Delegates are encouraged to arrive in Los Angeles no later than Saturday, August 15, 2026, so that they may attend these vital sessions:
- Saturday, August 15: 35 & Under Meet-and-Greet (5:30 pm – 7:00 pm)
- Sunday, August 16: Legislative Briefing Session on Midterm Elections (8:00 am – 9:45 am)
- Sunday, August 16: Retirees and Young Members Panel – “Bridging the Gap” (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
Delegate Registration
Once they have logged in, officers should click on Convention Credentials in the blue left-hand column. They will then be provided with instructions for selecting and registering delegates.
If submitted by the president, delegate names must be verified by an authorized officer; conversely, names submitted by the secretary-treasurer, secretary, or treasurer must be approved by the president.
If the president makes the initial request, an e-mail message will be sent to the secretary, treasurer, or secretary-treasurer. If the secretary-treasurer, secretary, or treasurer makes the initial request, the request for confirmation will be sent to the president. The officer who receives the notice requesting confirmation of the registration must visit the Convention Credentials registration page to confirm the request. Once the registration request has been confirmed, officers may print out delegates’ credentials.
The Convention Credentials registration page will indicate the number of delegates local officers are able to register; the number of delegates that have already been registered, and the number pending verification.
Officers may submit delegates’ names individually or in groups. After delegates have been registered and verified, local officers will be instructed to print the credentials and bring them to the convention.
Officers who need assistance should e-mail hdecker@apwu.org.
