Senators Call for a Moratorium on Plant Closures

  Three champions of a strong, public Postal Service gave impassioned speeches against the consolidation of mail processing plants on the floor of the Senate on Dec. 4. Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) called for a moratorium on plant closures.
