This Step 4 Settlement Agreement addresses questions concerning specific fact circumstances relating to the grievant not being selected for a lower level assignment. The parties mutually agreed that a higher level qualified employee who has previously submitted a request for assignment to a lower level would be given consideration for filling a residual lower level vacancy after other appropriate employees have been assigned. If the higher level employee was not selected, the employee should be told the reason(s) why, if requested.
