This Step 4 Settlement Agreement addresses whether the grievant was promoted to an ET-8 on the proper date. After reviewing this matter, the parties mutually agreed that in the case of ZMT, ESP and PSDS Equipment and BMC Systems Course, an employee shall be promoted to ET-8 upon successful completion of any of these resident training courses whether or not a vacancy exists. The promotion to an ET-9 is accomplished upon successful completion of On-Site Maintenance Certification (OSMC) and only if a level 9 vacancy exists.
