National Union Evaluates Candidates, But Makes No Endorsement at This Time

The Des Moines Register announced Oct. 18 that the Iowa Postal Workers Union has endorsed Sen. John Edwards for president. On the national level, the APWU respects Sen. Edwards and admires his commitment to labor, but we have made no endorsement. We note that several other candidates also have demonstrated outstanding records on the issues that concern working men and women. We will continue to evaluate all the candidates as we assess whether to make an endorsement.
